The DVDs of the October 8, 2008 Concert will shipped to the few dozen folks who took advantage of the advance sale in 2009 by
October 1, 2010.

The first two volumes are going to the manufacturer by Labor Day 2010. The other volumes will be sent in mid-September.

After Labor Day 2010 you will be directed to the BLACK SWAN RETAIL page for shipping and product purchasing details and info.

The DVDs will be available for retail purchase by the general public in late Septmber 2010. The advance sale price is no longer available except for a few folks who wanted to pay via credit card in 2009 but could not at that time. Credit cards will be accepted for all retail sales.

A few people have previewed the finished edited concert video and their respnses have been very positive.

Some folks have understandably been upset with the delay in the delivery of the DVDs. The overwhelming majority of the folks have been very understanding. You will be able to communicate directly me very shortly via a new email address.

The manufacturing is being done by the company that manufactures Disney and Sony DVDs and Blue Ray discs. Their copyguard is the best in the business. The extra cost of this process amounted to 4 times what the normal cost of DVD manufacturing is. It has taken many months for the $12,000 for this to be raised. This entire project - the concert, recording, editing, mixing etc. has been done with the resources of one person  - me - and a few of my close friends. The concert itself incurred a defecit of $50,000. The costs of the post production has had to have been raised accordingly.

What else is happening in 2010

First - nothing will be done until the 2008 DVDs are released. They should be shipped and received by the advance buyers by October 1. But this is what is planned and will be done once the advance buyers have received their DVDs.

1.
Release of the DVDs of the two 1986 BLACK SWAN SHOWS.
The Advance buyers of the 2008 concert will be getting and incredible deal 
on these DVDs. They will be available for retail sale.

Release of T shirts, sweatshirts and other swag of the
1983 Burlington Concert
the October 2008 Black Swan concert
the March 1986 Black Swan Concert
the 1991 and 1994 Black Swan concerts

A 2009 BLACK SWAN CONCERT
has been planned for late November 2010
All of the performers are from Chicago. They include:
The KOOL GENTS
with a true tenor lead and an additional tenor from another famous Chicago group
MILLARD EDWARDS of the Sheppards

and at least five more never seen on the
East Coast Chicago groups.
 

If possible financially more shows are being planned for 2011 all of which will be featuring groups that we haven't seen in 20 to 50 years!

The 1983 MAGNIFICENT MEN reunion concert DVD is completed and ready for sale. More info on this in September.

Also the feature film documentary on the MAGNIFICENT MEN entitled MAGNIFICENT SOUL will be completed in 2010. It's being produced and directed by Dave Zang edited by Don Grosso and Associate Produced by M del Costello. It will be available for purchase this year.
