MdC 1972
The ten Pentax cameras around me neck were to be used by my students. My first class
had an enrolment of 32 students. 29 of them were inmates of Bordentown State Prison.
Within a year all ten of these cameras disappeared with students from the joint. The only guys I could
really trust were the murderers because they were short - 16 years plus and up for parole2!!!!!!

The initial inventory on  this site of the MdC / BLACK SWAN ARCHIVE will be approximately 3000 images of
the 70,000 plus negs. slide and prints that I have.

The include the genres of
STARS, MUSICIANS, ROCK N' ROLL, JAZZ, R&B, VOCAL HARMONY, GOSPEL, METAL, HIP HOP

and some of the personal work of MdC, his grandfather and great-grand-father both of whom were
photographers in the late 19th and 20th Century.

Artists' photograph are arrange alphabetically by first letter of first name - ie: Bruce Springsteen is in the "B" folder.


This project will take me a year or more to complete as there a several thousand slides that I must scan and evaluate as well 20,000 - 30,000 more negatives. Actually it may take years!!!
